The painted stallion went the extra mile. He was actually and truthfully willing to join this herd. Well. Whoever resided here. He snorted but ignored the faint distraction around him in the evergreen forest. "Hello. Anyone here?" He said as he yelled into the wind. Not a sound crept back to him. "Maybe no one lives here. Maybe I should search through the other lands." He said his speech like a thought inside his mind that slipped out. After a while passed of no recieved answer he thought it would be best to turn around and leave. And so he did. He fixed his position so he was in line of the exit. Not a door that led to the outside of this land. But just an imaginary wall itself.

Brown eyes looked up at the tall trees that had named my land. They were pretty, such as myself, and proved very useful when I became itchy and scratchy. Though I did have some sap stuck in my mane, as well as some small needle point twigs stuck in it as well. All apart of being wild I do have to say, and with me being a sticky leafy mess I did look quite wild. Maybe to scare some unsuspecting equines away from my land.
Apparently there was a stallion here, the band one. I hadn't met him yet but he had just moved it. I don't have much of a say when it comes to him. So hopefully he is a good lad and doesn't get in my way. Harks flicked back and forth as I picked up my pace and trotted across the woods. My hooves lifting and dashing over the fallen trunks and ant hills. Everywhere I looked there was green, it was pleasing to my eye. And even sometimes my stomach.
A voice of another equine made me stop. Eyes narrowed as I searched for the horse who had called out. I couldn't see him yet, so I followed where I had heard it from. Mumbling came to the left of me so I carefully weaved my body around a tree and then spotted a two coloured stallion. My harks settled back to a pin as I raised my head. A rolling snort escaped my paper thins as my limbs shortened the distance between us. Was this the stallion who made himself the band stallion? Regardless, I was better than this sore eye.
My hooves crunched against the green floor. I stopped a few feet away from the fellow, nostrils flaring and harks not easing up. "Speak your name and reason for being in my land." I stated.

The Shadowman; xxx One night and one more time, xxxx Thanks for the memories, even though they xxxxxxxxxxx w e r e ' n t t h a t g r e a t. I was unsure of how a band stallion was to act, the females seemed to be in the most power here. Sunk so low have we Shadowman? Tossing my head slightly I pressed onwards, I had been here for an exceedingly short period of time and yet this already felt like home. My pale eyes drifted across the lands, what little I could decipher between the trees. Green, mossy, homely, three words that were greatly appreciated by me. A soft snort and a light flick of my tail before motioning forward, nostrils expanding as I inhaled the scent of the lead mare. Her scent was abundant in these lands and I hoped that I was soon to meet her, I was almost looking for her. Stocky and thick set neck hauled itself back into my chest before stretching out. I tilted my head to one side and began champing, something that I often did to cure my boredom.
A low rumble erupted from my chest cavity as a new scent crossed my path, another male from the signs I had inhaled. Her scent was deep and fresh here, meaning she must have just passed through. Obviously dealing with the new member, hell, wasn't I a new member. A devilish smirk found itself climbing across my expressions before striding forward. I was thankful for my breeding, looking more like a friesian than the perchon. That side of my breeding gave me a bit more bulk to myself, some strength yet the agility and elegance came from my friesian side. I tilted my head as I heard a voice, a male voice. The mare's scent was too fresh for her to have traveled much ahead of me yet, so who on earth was this male talking about. I shook my head and lowered my ears. They began to lower, lacing themselves into my mane and skull, keeping their stance I stepped forward into a small clearing, right by the border.
I smirked mildly, the male looked ready to leave, yet surely he just got here. I spotted her, a bay toned mare, her ebony male and tail flowing out behind her and around her. My pale eyes traced each contour they could find on her slender body. She seemed like an equine with authority, perfect. My motions ceased as I swung my head to the mare, dipping it lightly to her before raising my head high and looking to the male that stood before of me. He was a two toned male, something stocky yet swift, I was not sure of the breeding. I stood silently, my mane and tail swaying in the breeze and my forelock attempted to shroud my features.

Ming wiped the small thick green blades off of his leg. "Why hello, your majesty!" Ming said as he lowered his head and body into the form of a bow. "Nice to see you for once. My name is Ming." He said with a nod of his head and him straightened upright again. He blinked a few times before noticing a stallion behind the lead. But then the lead asked for a reason to be a band stallion. "Reason. Well the reason I wish to be in here is to grant you your wishes. Get more mares in the herd. That is all." He said. "And now a question for you....if you don't mind?" He asked. While a few moments passed, Ming sighed. He was getting tired. But her tried to awaken himself so he didn't look like a lazy horse. He wasn't! And if anyone asked the answer would be: No! I am no lazy horse!....who do you think I am? The answer would stay the same. Ming was going to reach his neck down and take a bite of grass. But he wasn't sure if he was allowed to. Would it mess up the course of the ground? Would the lead get mad? So many questions and suggestions traveled through his mind as he tried to put them together to create and answer. But that. That wouldn't work. "May I graze upon this grass placed below my feet? I am starved." He said in a nice question like voice.

There were days that I was impatient, but most of the time I was patient. I was just irritated today. Not having met my band stallion and there were now mares leading the other lands. I didn't want any of them coming here wanting to be my ally. Or me wanting to be their friend. I wasn't a friend kind of horse. I had acquaintances, and maybe business partners. But no friends. There was no time in my life for flouncy mare talk or water parties. No, I wasn't that type of mare.
I tossed my whipcord back and forth, eyes watching the two coloured stallion with slight annoyance. When he finally did speak, I heard a noise behind me. I turned my head slightly to the side and noticed a large black stallion. Another one? Great, now I have to deal with two of them. Perhaps this one however is my band stallion and I will finally get to meet him.
The two coloured stallion's words entered my auds. His name was Ming, and so far his reason hadn't come up yet. I kept my mouth shut. He wanted to grant my wishes, bring mares into the herd. For what? So that I could have these flouncy mare talks? Deal with the drama of herd politics even though I am lead mare? Eyes narrowed as I parted my lips. But before then, this Ming asked to eat my grass. "You may." I replied.
Harks flickered back and forth as I collected myself to speak to him. "Well, unfortunately for you, Ming you will have to talk to the band stallion about residing here. It is him who will keep you in order and will decide if you are allowed here or not." I exclaimed and then turned my frame so that we could all see each other more clearly.
Turning my facade toward the black stud I questioned him. "And who might you be?" I asked.

The Shadowman; xxx One night and one more time, xxxx Thanks for the memories, even though they xxxxxxxxxxx w e r e ' n t t h a t g r e a t. The mare seemed pretty irritated and that made a smirk appear briefly on my expressions. How easy it was to toy with their minds, manipulate them and irritate them. Many a time he had done it for fun, but for now I would get on this mares "good side", if she even had one. My motions carried me closer forward so that the three of us were spread in a relaxed triangle shape, I had no reason to stand close to either of these equines. The mare was only the ruler, she was not a mate to me or an acquaintance... yet. The male, on the other hand, was completely unknown to me and showed no qualities other than he was skittish and seemingly eager to please. I paid little attention to the pair as they continued to converse, I had no business in this conversation. Lowering my head to the floor I allowed my enamels to tug at the lush greeneries that grew here, until I head my title mentioned.
The mare had spoken to the male saying it was my decision as to whether or not the male was to stay. He did not seem harmful, in fact, he seemed completely harmless. My head quickly raised and my ears averted to make listening to them easier. I pondered swiftly whether the male was to be allowed or not, as long as he was no thorn in my side and did not get in the way of a female I wished to pursue, then there was no issue. A small smirk crossed my expressions, but this was soon reined in as the female turned her attention to me. Who was I? Obviously she would not know who I was, daft fool. She had not met me and knew nothing about me, yet i had a certain place here for now and would boldly fight for my position. I averted my ears to the mare as my lips parted,
"Shadowman, the band stallion. I am already aware that you are the lead mare, but I do not know you're name?"
I left the last sentence to her as a question and dipped my head to her as I spoke. Respect was to be shown to her, but I did not wish to 'suck up' to her as it was. I turned my attention to the two toned male that stood aside from us, letting my lips part to him.
"Seeing as the decision is mine as to whether you stay or not, you may. On a probationary period. As long as you do not become a thorn in my side, then I have no qualms with you staying here."
My expressions did not change as I addressed the other stallion, just letting him know where he stood. I did not want him to be scared of me, I was easily irritated but I didn't bite... Often...
